Simon is the Creative Director of Resident and designs original furniture for both residential and commercial spaces under the Simon James Design name.

Simon infuses character into clean, uncomplicated forms. Having founded his eponymous brand in 2001, his appreciation of craftsmanship continues to deepen, as he explores material tactility in new and exciting ways. His design approach is largely intuitive, with people and their experiences of a space a central focus for him.

We are diligent about selecting trustworthy carriers to ensure that your items arrive safely and as quickly as possible. 

Returns + Exchanges – Stocked items

We are happy to accept returns and exchanges for stocked items within 30 days of purchase. Clients will be responsible for the cost of shipping in both directions.

Returns + Exchanges – Made-to-Order items

Please be sure to measure carefully and thoughtfully consider custom and made-to-order purchases. These items are non-returnable or exchangeable. We cannot cancel delayed orders resulting from manufacturing or shipping delays. We will apply a 50% restocking fee (plus shipment costs) for any refused deliveries. 

Making it right

We partner with the best artisans and most reputable carriers to make sure your order arrives in excellent condition. We’ll work with you to make it right if you receive an item that is damaged or defective and reported as such upon delivery. We want you to love your purchase!
