PREVALENT PROJECTS

About Prevalent Projects

We founded Prevalent Projects in 2018, in Mill Valley, California. Part-modern home store and part-design studio, we specialize in a warm modern aesthetic with nods to design traditions from Scandinavia and Japan. Over the years we’ve built a curated selection of furniture and home decor from around the world. Every piece we bring to Prevalent Projects is created to be long-lasting, through a combination of evergreen design, expert craftsmanship, and durable, non-toxic materials. We’re proud to work with brands that share our commitment to quality and sustainability.

The Prevalent Projects Collection

Inspired by our work with our clients, we’ve recently launched our own line of furniture: the Prevalent Projects Collection. Each piece is handmade, sustainably sourced, and as non-toxic as possible. Because we closely oversee the production process of every order, our designs are highly customizable to perfectly complement your space. We’re also able to custom-make virtually anything from scratch. Explore the Prevalent Projects Collection now, or contact us for a custom order.

As seasoned designers with a unique network of brand partners at our fingertips, Prevalent Projects provides full interior design services for residential and commercial spaces. We collaborate closely with our clients on every step of the process, from the initial concept to the final installation. About The Founders

Prevalent Projects is a joint endeavor by Julia and Floyd Albee.

Julia is a professional photographer who found her passion in capturing interiors and the people who inhabit them. Her work has been featured in Vogue, InStyle and Shape magazines. With her eye for detail and instinct for fine aesthetics, she is the principal buyer for Prevalent Projects.

Floyd studied architecture at the Southern California Institute of Architecture, after which he worked with Frank Ghery and Associates on the Disney Concert Hall. There he was introduced to production design, and spent the next 25 years working on film, television, and commercial projects worldwide. After building and remodeling several homes for his family, he was inspired to return to his roots in architecture and interior design. He is the principal designer at Prevalent Projects.
