The Clam Chair was designed in 1944 in Copenhagen by Danish upholsterer Arnold Madsen. The chair was dubbed "Muslingstol" (Clam Chair), due to its unique shape. This new edition has been crafted using a blend of traditional joinery techniques and modern technology, resulting in an authentic product of the highest quality. Dagmar is proud to re-launch this icon of the Danish Modern movement in collaboration with the estate of Arnold Madsen.

Crafted in Sweden, Clam's internal frame is constructed from solid beech, set atop hand-finished European oak or American walnut feet. Clam comes in a range of upholstery options, from smooth fabrics to sheepskins.

25.6" Width x 31.5" Depth x 32.3" Height
16.5" Seat height

Solid beech frame; foam padding and linen webbing; fabric or sheepskin upholstery; oak or walnut legs
