Crafted in the town of Hasami in Nagasaki Prefecture, this porcelain incense burner has a modern design with simple lines and curves. The angled lid catches ash from the incense stick and guides it into the hidden tray below, with an elegant holder that allows the stick to be placed in multiple positions — upright and visible, or level and tucked out of view. The traditional crafting technique of this burner has been preserved for generations, and no two handmade pieces are quite alike; each one has its own character and charm from its unique crafting process.
